For i have looked for a place to call home, but there does not seem to be one of my own. I looked to the Lord to enlighten me for i needed a church family. They do not judge me they want only the best for me and my family. They set me down and sometimes say exactly what i need to hear that day. You lift me up every day in your own particular way. Thank you for being there for you are my church family. Yes indeed you do care for me as if i was a part of your immediate family.
I envy you as I have never had that feeling. Sitting in church was just something you had to do to keep God from sending you to hell. I went to a very liberal church that was Catholic later on where you could talk before and after mass, you sat in chairs, not pews. Then the bishop sent some Spanish priest who got rid of all that and the attendance droped in half and then the school closed last year.
I enjoyed reading this poem adjhe. It's so important to have, it gives us meaning!!! I've always believed that family, is not defined by blood relatives only, but by connections we form weather spiritual or not. Through fellowship, friendship & other... Lovely read thanks for sharing
