It often gives warmth and comfort but now for me, it serves a different purpose. This is a purging, a cleansing by fire and everything must burn like me for you! Love letters, old photographs, the clothes you bought me, the watch, all your gifts, everything you've given me must be destroyed! And were I not to suffer terrible pain and be consumed by it's flame, I too would enter, if only to quell this burning desire I have for you and these thoughts and memories seared in my mind for all eternity! About this poem:
Tough breakup, I'm ok now, really! Not good with punctuation hope it makes sense! Just what I felt at the time...
This certainly hit the mark dare I say I enjoyed reading but because of the way you are trying to put out the flame. Glad you are working through it.

Fantastic poem I'm sure many can identify with. I kept every valentine every love letter -in fact everything - I look at them now with a smile of the happy times we had - I'm pleased I kept them. I know people deal with hurt in a different way.
Try as u may to be rid of them; feelings thoughts memories cannot be destroyed. though they may not last an eternity it sure feels like it....

"Some say the world will end in fire...some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire, I stand with those who favour fire. Yet...having witnessed a woman's wrath, Ice is also good...and would suffice..." Do you know this one? My father's father left his home when he was eight, never to be spoken about again. Next day, his mother made his half sister burn all his clothes.
Good stuff J and I can easily pick up what your putting down here my friend. I just left everything behind myself so that maybe it will remind her of me because Im sinister like that and it worked but it was wrong of me to gloat but Im only me Well done…Jesse
