A New Day

Every day is different,
I see every day as new,
And every day I still can choose,
To make my life improve.

Yesterday is over now,
That old day has gone,
But with today comes one more chance,
To make right what went wrong.

Surely there is something,
Even if it's just one thing,
That I could have done differently,
A new result to bring.

So I will make my choice this day,
My new life to begin,
And come the night when I think back
I'll be content within.
