If I were a poet I would write about love
And yea Im sure I would say something about the man above
I would write about children and the funny things they do
And yea I would squeeze in the old folks to

I would write of things people only dream about
And yea I would leave you in doubt
After all I can only live the life I live
And yea at times I would find it hard to forgive

But you know what after it all I still stand tall
And yea I have a few years that if you pushed I may fall
I would forgive you for Ive learned of greater times I will see
