How Sad That You Are Not With Me

How sad that we are not together,
How sad that it does not happen again.
That I do not hear your heart
That birds flew away so early
That we do not sing our songs
How sad that we are not together

How sad that I am not the same
I calmly sleep at night
The line was left behind
Behind it we so missed each other
But love remains though,
How sad that I am not the same.

But still most nights I see your image
Reminding me of you, my beloved.
My dearest, how often I hear your voice!
It calls me back in that unrepeatable night.
I run to you, I'm trying so hard,
I'm falling down and I'm waking up.

And here, two lives exist:
One in which you stay with me
Where you still are kissing me
Where every day we were together
And day was just a minute then.
In that life you with me remain

Another life in which I live,
After a year or so a month
Living still loving,
But just the sun does not shine the same,
And just no more you.
How sad that you are not with me.

Let wind take my sorrow away,
Let wind sweep far away from me my tears.
Why you left me, sweetheart?
Why you are not here with me anymore?

Be back, I beg you
God sees I still love you
