The house is filled with Christmas cheer The lights on the tree twinkle like a star The candy bowls are full Yet my heart feels so bare I’m just not in the Christmas spirt this year I hung the stockings with great care The kids are grown They’ve all left home No more babies or kids running around As I sit here I frown This year has been hard I’ve let down my guard Now all I do is sit in the yard I pray that tomorrow will bring a better day And my heart will be filled with Christmas joy Maybe Santa will even bring me a toy

Hmmm maybe a toy that is tall, dark and gruesome and has a few toys of his own. Be careful what you ask for because in some cases people get more than they bargain for.
