THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp - XVIII - The oak

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XVIII ]
*** The oak ***

“The oak
Stands
On guard; –
Watch
Close
Who is woke:
The leaf,
The trunk,
Or the crown; –

*** Root ***

The oak
Lands
To froze,
- Time
Seems
To have shard,
Stiff,
Shrunk,
Winds in soak; –

*** Root ***

The oak
Has
Deep roots; –
Rich
Streams
Fill this earth,
Grief,
Drunk,
Are world’s dreams – ”
