"Big Brother" is NOT on your side

"Big Brother" is NOT on your side - Feb 16, 2010
Jim Magee - Poet of the "Common" Man
Dedicated to all my "brothers and sisters" - world-wide

All you who think, when you get "down on your luck"
That you're government cares about you
You just need a little mind re-structure
What the hell's the matter with you?
The more you make, the more they will take
And it's not even about being fair
It's all about their bloody job security
And about you, they don't really care

It's all very sad but nothing ever seems to change
And it's got nothing to do with your age
It's got to do with "obscure hidden laws"
Written on an unknown page
They always come up with some outlandish rules
That disallow you from getting paid
All the while their life, is going just fine
But you'll never know how much they've made

They make the rules that to them don't apply
While they're telling you to "tighten your belt"
And the rules they impose, for others to follow
for them, they are never even felt
the rules that they make don't affect them at all
So it's easy to understand why
They never relate to your difficult life
And they're not even willing to try

You can cry all you want, but understand this
They're simply "out of the loop"
They could care less about your position in life
They won't be jumping those hoops
Nothing will change, till you all figure out that
"The many are greater than the few"
If you'd all get together as The "Family of Man"
You could change things, if you really wanted to

Together - you could make it happen - if you wanted!

The rules that they make for others to follow
