There's nothing so sad as a one-sided
When you give up your heart every day
You do all in your power to help win her love
But she just doesn't feel the same way

She did try to tell you that it just wasn't there
You just wouldn't hear what she said
No, your not her first, and you won't be her last
Get that thought into your head!

She tried to convince you time and again
She really only wanted to play
It's time that you listened to what's being said
Before giving your fool heart away
