Distant Love

You lay there, provocative, elegant and sexy

A princess, a child, a woman of the world

While I gaze upon your picture, my heart it sinks

I see you as you are so so far away in distance and time

We will never be more than friends I fear, for I am a simple man

I live my life in solitude, no castle do I own

My heart it pains to know these things

A fairytale for me would seem to be a dream

So my friend I pray you understand, my love for you

I cannot buy you golden rings or treasure and such things

So with all my heart I give you all I have to give

My dignity, honesty and unconditional love for now and eternity

AAhhhh! Beyond reach in availability or just physical distance? Making excuses for not enough value/confidence in your own worth perhaps, me thinks?

I get the sense that it's the imaginary woman of your dreams that you're reaching out to??? Isn't it great that we at least have our imaginations to rely upon!
