unsual snow patterns have given NZ a reality check, though it is cold in the north, we hopefully won't have snow like the south, but this in our short winter, herald of spring ....so soon will warm, ready for summer when dreams are born.....
as some know I live surrounded by acres of open crop growing land Hawks are not seen here as much as Northland and other rural areas, but even on the outskirts of NZ largest city, they are time stoppers.....
The tunnel i walked was dark with darting sun light touching spots with tender caresses from leaf to leaf. Touching me too I smiled with glee. Looking up above to the cannopy of trees interlocked, swaying seemingly in a loving embrace. Life

Yesterday driving home this really happened. Wish you could have seen him/her and if a turtle can have a determined ignoring concentrating look on its face - that turtle did! lol

Auckland is of course the City of Sails...where many own some form of sailing boat in their lifetime.....but drape the scene in foggy mist, and eerie takes control......
living in a productive market garden area where so many have sold their land to become housing estates....makes you wonder how it will end, though we know that family homes are important...
Had to fix some plant up on the range west of where we live and work .......... Driving through Crediton State forest and onto Eungella Dam

"Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme.
It was a lovely day when I wrote this. I had just read an article about weather modification and was wondering how in the world man could convince himself that he is better than God to decide he can play with the weather. It has destroyed a lot of the earth with man's playing around with things. If only he could leave it alone and let God control the earth.
I feel we accept seasons because we have too, and actually enjoy the passage of change......

Anticipation of Spring
We have heard our recently NZ has experienced a succession of natural disasters......causing havoc for many....but it's not just NZ, as the world pays with rapid climate changes......
as we experience the tail end of the bad weather that rattled Australia earlier, leaving serious damage, we may accept and cope...but sometimes wonder....WHY
This is one of the most famous of Lyric Poetry ever written...

Colours represent to me the seasons, that here in NZ we can almost experience in one day, though snow is confined to the more southern areas....as the north is semi tropical.......and spring, summer and Autumn the seasons we experience most......
