There will be a path that leads me to you
So please wait, I'm trying not to take long
You're holding my heart so please be gentle
I need your love to remain safe and strong
There are times when I feel so all alone
Thoughts of you is what keeps me hanging on
I'm fighting for a love that I don't know
Knowing our feelings are each others clone
If we don't meet know the fight made life sweet
Kept bitterness from knocking at our door
Thoughts of you shielded loneliness away
Hope giving meaning to our life once more
Every day I wake I know it might be
The day when you are finally with me

About this poem:
Hope and bitterness do not live together. I will always hold hope close to me as I would a treasure.

Spied I, half concealed in a secluded cell,
lost graceful posture, shunned by sun strewn day,
ne'er far away, from Man's notorious perverted hell,
toiled weary worn amid sulky shades of grey,
blossom lost, she in quietude, a shy and lonely flower
that once shone sweeter, than fragrant roses e'er can be,
wiled away lost hours among dungeoned walls dark bower,
much tear known to murky tones unwanted melancholy,
serves sombre like, scattered sunshines once known hour,
thoughtless dismissed by impious hand, heavy, needlessly
by creed, of self-centered power's countenance most sour,
taints so the air, that wafts its fresh blown fragrancy,
Thus we, the caring world pass by,
talk proud ethos, yet no ethics e'er apply.

About this poem:
Oh! how much is not our business when it really ought to be, lip service a cunning tool that we apply.

Lay very still behind your covered ridge
For the night is live with anxious moments
March the Redcoats out from the high ground ledge
And be careful now to hide your comments
Such enduring freedom not forgotten
Lay all your muskets loaded in the breech
With the hope you have some dry guncottton
Taking aim inside your shot that will reach
For what is brother against another
A war be fought in making a nation
Really stands apart one from the other
But through empirical observation
For history marks upon the ages
Our freedom will never live in cages

About this poem:
Reflecting back on my country's origins

High velvet spheres trackless interstellar air,
where stars pulsate amid their unique bower,
universe caressing, opalescent hues refined so rare,
much unknown to frowns or rancour sour,
wheels soft scented wares, ridicule lighting's glare
to assuage, Man's trouble world of sin repeating,
those feather touched hours embracing angelic care
deride the shame, profane tearless eyes a weeping,
Love, I speak of thee and of that you gave,
entwined love's silken sash, thy bossom wearing,
whence sang you, Love's anthem, to smiling save
impulsive glory, those full flowered days of Spring,
Thus, held you a candle to the stars,
shinning more beautiful than they are.

About this poem:
Oh! the baffling question of what is Love, what ever our take on it, however we express it, despite the cynics, we cannot live without it, or dare someone tell me otherwise!

sometimes in my darkest thoughts Shakespeare plays
would a rose by any other name change
or would it remain in its state the same
I could dispel ignorance who to blame
I searched but could not find no difference
the cover it is the same inside out
Is it because I cannot see I'm blind
Or is it still the makings of its kind
You can cast upon any name you wish
Attach it upon like an albatross
But in the end it will remain the same
Who can our misconceptions really blame
When only in our eyes do we see change
The molecules already are arranged

Resounds my heart with passion
as I gaze deep into your eyes
and we sink onto the cushions
and rapture overtakes our cries
Slowly the earth stops its spinning
drifting off in each others arms
to awake aroused and moaning
with his love my heart he disarms
Whispering sweet nothings to me
that night I will always recall
though the image gets all filmy
this true love will always stand tall
The night we met was my windfall
my heart he now holds in his thrall

Upon this time I can turn a blind eye
To enjoy the gifts the storm did bring
Cast them upon the rainbow colored sky
Making sense out of the unreasoning
To soar upon the mighty winds so free
To smell the lavender of the vast fields
To choose to perch in the highest of trees
To leave behind not a trace of myself
Knowing all to soon death will result birth
A circle in time repeating its self
Déjà vu to walk the familiar turf
To hold dear once more the things I have loved
You have kept me alive for all so long
Each beginning I am growing more strong

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gently rained the clouds as the years went by
Years turning to centuries past forgotten
Propagating sin allowed not to die
Waiting once more for its time to lay rein
Gentle wind whispering little girls ear
Imagination at play they all say
Soon voices forgotten till time near
Relentless searching not knowing for why
Within the beating heart lays the last blood
Time culled the bloodline almost freeing them
A cloud so ominous soon to lay flood
Dry barren fields begging for watering
Only the best will ferment in my wine
Removing soured fruits from thorny vines
Fields of glory rolling outside my window
Bodies of bronze by suns caressing warmth
One body my body already knows
He takes me to the stars and the heavens
Dreams aspire reaching for the tallest skies
Fields of glory reaching for suns desire
To quench the thirst then reap the crops of lies
Tend the fields walk away empty handed
There's a wolf out amongst the laden sheep
Blood upon hands of proclaimed innocence
Kill them all where the blood has surely seeped
No clean hands remain to the unaware
Jealousy a motive for killing fields
You reap what you sow, your harvest will yield
Writing these poems have been fun. I don't know yet where it will end. I do know bringing these characters alive out into the open is in its self a dance. Thank you for reading and allowing them for a brief time to enter your domain.
They had prayed for a change to all their gods
Side by side they waited good holding bad
Not knowing which God would answer their cries
Not treasuring what they already had
A contradiction of one another
They had called back an abomination
A power so strong without no end
Essence without permanent foundation
Good verse evil within one entity
Each knowing but willing to take the chance
Releasing twilight upon barren days
Where evil and good will soon bare romance
Mere mortals holding only to release
The beginning of their Armageddon
