Menin Gate Ypres.

No court here played to feathered Kings
of once grand plumes and pompous things,
long since quenched and forgotten lie,
thier wanton greed doomed so to die,
riding high from the storms of fate,
the pen of justice did to all await,
to walk anew the sun blessed road,
relieved, once the down trodden native abode,
as now, beneath life's tranquil shade,
a monument to peace, here forever laid,
no glory plied or ingenious shame,
just freedoms unconquerable name,

its banners claim no marked grave,
just homespun joys they cherished gave.

About this poem:
The rich patriotic ritual played every evening at the Menin Gate, is a spine chilling reminder of the futility of war, engineered both by Kings and Politicians alike, the cattle slaughter house a more humane place to die than the Fields of Flanders.

The Coming of Spring

When in an evening of sweet quiet dream
I gaze at the stars for beauty it brings
Like a pool full of swimming minnows team
A tree full of returning songirds that sings

My heart beat captures the raindrops that dance
A warm breeze blowing the first smell of spring
Exciting time for pairing and romance
A tree swelling proud with its new growth ring

As much in my eye as my heart grows fond
Past empyreal springs have come and gone
Auspicious another lies still beyond
Celestial horizons casts dreams on

Moments we have are like moments we share
For when everyone knows Spring's in the Air

Angels And Dinosaurs

Swoop down come you all on your golden wings
Beckonning my pleas for your safety brings
Shining green eyes and a lizard tongue sings
With a shrilling voice from the King of Kings

No greater raptor on earth can compare
For only your fossils in earth lie bare
Waiting once again for the truth do dare
For all who knows your mystery beware

Perchance angelic image was all wrong
Art and form never human all along
In our hearts we do fear where you belong
When so much your legend became our song

Once upon a time before we humans
You were Glory, Alleluia, Amen

About this poem:
A fantasy sonnet about dinosaurs being 'true angels' once living on our planet and down through the ages we mortals have arose but are still waiting their return. It's kind of a strange poem even for my standards not to take anything away from Botticelli who so inspires me with his "Birth of Venus", but maybe he got it all wrong?? :))

WHAT IS YOUR HEART TELLING...

you are looking for a true person
who is best in his deals
and never wish to cheat
he has to make more care to share with dear
a peerless lover and must be a cleaver ,
and you are searching new words to write about your lover
and giving flower without fear.
you never think twice before you-
send mails to breack walls between two
have you ever tried to listen your heart before it
you cannot imagine what it tells with you
it sings ,smile and crys sometimes
and it warns every time about your life
it knows how possible is to become falls
it is better to hear your heart verywell
and think about what is your heart telling...

Doug

There once was a man named Doug.
Who bought a purple mug.
He had a biscuit, or three,
a cup of tea.
Then fell asleep on the rug.

Some Soft Rain

A soft mood dampens hanging branches with rain
Grey billowy storm clouds bump against sky
Dripping off eaves wetting dark barn boards stain
Like artists' pallet fill a weather eye

Long may your soft drips make me feel lonely
Tearful drops running down my window pane
Look out from blurry eyes will clear only
Even to fix my poor visceral brain

Often needed quiet moments perplexed
Thinking deeply about how things are swept
Many choices not found in sacred text
A place where no easy answers are kept

Only life and love will wash clean from lust
For if we are just a machine we'd rust

About this poem:
Deeply reflective of the cleansing spirit of a soaking rain washing our minds and bodies like some rain gutters of the many webs and debris caught up in them that might cling there in a very surreal and refreshing way!!!

Moonbeams. (Sonnet) Paloma Challenge.

If we were stars in cosmogyral space,
Lost apart in nacreous endless blue,
To seek, I would like gossamer embrace,
Upon a moonbeam, destination....you.

In reminiscence of your twinkling light,
I'd fall for your aeolian warm rays,
Our fusion to ignite the lonesome night,
As showers of stardust calm our fiery blaze.

Together we could disappear through time,
To float in ataraxial deep love,
Like poets entwined in pure celestial rhyme,
In Heavens reverence 'mid stars above.

Drifting through soft moonlight psiturism,
Forever lost in dazzling starry prism.

very busy

we are very busy in life
we have only one life here
so we need to fulfill our dreams
as soon as posible
and we think ,no chance to get
enough time for it.
need more time to reach the top
so we are avoiding so many things
happenig around us.
it means no time to waste..
we made walls between our homes
and even in our soul
its not nice to hear others problems
those we can easly solve for them.
we need more care and love from others
but fails to give these to others
we forget that , we are human beings
who can only give and get what they wants...

a lovely summer recipe

prepared out in the noonday sun
all ingredients carefully readied
baking time has just begun
browned betty soon cookin' steady

get your flowers carefully sifted
fold in eggs 'n milk, DO NOT BEAT
mix in spiced up smiles lifted
place yourselves in your own heat

rising passions cookin' soon
after cooling on your rack
buttered bakin' afternoon
place in mouth and have a snack

savor all your summer basting
loving recipes for the tasting

Simply Good Bye

Searching for the truth amongst many lies
Which friend or foe lover or deceiver
My heart broken beyond repair good bye
I kept wanting to turn the lie to truth

Looking into the mirror not at me
Different shapes different sizes nothing changed
A slight trick of the hand now you don't see
Magic trickery just an illusion

The curtain closed then opened all were gone
No closing bow no standing ovation
No illusion just me standing alone
A simple curtsy from a mere lady

The lights dimmed the room darkened then silence
Clarity became seen then all made sense

About this poem:
Sometimes in life you have to except what you want to be true does not make it true. One day one might realize they are sitting in a room full of strangers. Kindness goes a long way life. Remember in life you are what you eat. You are what you put into your self. If you put love and kindness into yourself then that is what you will be, so if you find yourself feeding negativity into your life the sensiable thing to do is make changes if it is not where you want to be. Love to all.
