follow me

follow me

Good luck has never been my friend
I've always been the fool
Please don't follow shadows of mine
'Cause the time is running out for me

I walk in the path of a misfit's blood
No compass can steer my way
No light at the end of the tunnel
The time is running out for me

No gold at the end of the rainbow
No high hopes, dreams deceive

Follow me
Trouble seems to always wanna
Follow me
It has let me down so far so why don't you
Follow me
Trouble seems to always wanna
Follow me
It has let me down so far so why don't you
Follow me

I walk in the path of a misfit's blood
No compass can steer my way
No light at the end of the tunnel
The time is running out for me

Same old story!

A Winter's day in Summer, A Summer's day in Winter,
A promise kept, A promise broken,
A pact un-kept, A love unspoken,

Different days, and different ways,
Different eyes and different lies,
Different you and different me,

Different times and different crimes,
But same ol, same ol, like olden times,
Same old us from what I can see,
Nothing new, what will be will be.

Our House

OUR HOUSE

I'm painting the kitchen cupboards
And I've done the hallway too
But I can't decide on the trim
Misty green or powder blue
New tile on the bathroom floor
Matching shower curtain and all
But now maybe I'll just renovate
And put in a corner shower stall

When I'm done you'll really love...Our House

I don't know why I'm telling you this
You already see the finished plan
I just hope you are pleased with whatn you see
But I could use a helping hand
You can see all the mistakes I've made
And had to do it all again
But when you look down from the clouds above
You'll see a very lonely lonely man

Applying the finishing touches...to Our House

I know you're living in a bigger house
In a Mansion of Glory, up there
But with every nail I drive and each wall I paint
I'll do it with loving care

Because this is ....Our House

I bet the neighbors will all be glad
When I'm done..so they can sleep
But we talked about fixing this old place up
And it's a promise I'm gonna keep

God! I really miss you....in Our House

Oh, I almost forgot...say hi to Elvis for me!!

ME PLURRY ORANGE SOCKS.

Oh to be in Orange on a Wintery day like today,
I'd need more than me Plurry sox to warm me body.
The locals love Orange they say its just the place to stay
but even though I don't drink I'd sure need a wee toddy.
Down to the pub I went to meet all the Orange locals
and as I walked in they all looked me up and down
Even Gazza and Fred Smith eyed me with their bi-focals.
But the locals gave me a warm welcome to their town
and yere the pub was good, the place really rocks.
Next time I come this way I'll stop and say g'day
but I'll be sure to bring me Orange Cardi & me Sox
cause I was frozen to the bone the whole of me stay.

About this poem:
Have you ever been to Orange in the middle of Winter ? All you need is some warm clothes & a Toddy.
The locals don't seem to mind the Winter but the travellers certainly feel it.
It certainly was an eye opener for this visitor and I have never forgotten the warm hospitality....Maymyo.

theoretical physics

cambridge on a sunny morn
a professor deep in thought
a quasi quantum quandary
his mind now overwrought

now the kernel of dilemma
the cause of his unease?
with fish and chips for dinner..
should I go with mushy peas?

symbiotic clarity
coupled with his fate
yet the "mushyness" of peas
was abhorrent to his plate

order over chaos
his findings quite profound
yet a theorist
must work backwards
to a premis pure and sound

he expressed as a formula
elegant and wise
he wrote it on a post-it note
and sent it to the guys

twenty minutes later
his mobile broke the breeze
and a tired gruff glaswegian cried:
" I cannot read Chinese!"

GingerGee

Leap to Freedom (The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog)

At yelping speed she travelled
across an emerald lawn,
pursued by gnarling nightmares
as the darkness nipped the dawn.

Her ears, amber triangles,
bush glittering crystal dew,
body sleek with rivulets,
glowed red with exhaustion's hue.

Her heart palpating bass drums
and panting loud, fit to burst,
'glimpsed a shadow by the gate,
Her escape route surely cursed.

A lolloping great mastiff
of the Herculean type
roused apathetic eyelids
to investigate the hype.

No options left, the vixen
hugged the ground, then made a leap
to clear canine and gate and
safely saunter home to sleep.

Three lines

Words divide,
It seems to be,
Do you agree?

Water Without Judgement

Hands reaching across the Sea of Possibilities
Faces reflected in the Tides of Time
Nature struggles between growth and necessity
Knowledge bridges today and choice

Water, water, Gift of Life
Heal our Hearts before the poison flows
Water, water, Gift of life
Heal our Hearts before the poison flows

Distance judged by the length of our readings
Time measured in the hope of our days
Science tests the truths of theology
Faith waits for the holding of hands

Water, water, Gift of life
Heal our hearts before the poison flows
Water, water, Gift of life
Heal our hearts before the poison flows

About this poem:
The title ‘Water Without Judgement’ popped into my head and it stuck. Huh? What could that mean? Wrote this about 30 years ago and I still wonder. Think I was reading Will Durant’s ‘Story of Philosophy’ at the time. So this book and other works of different philosophers brought my writing of poetry often to take on a philosophical bent.
