Space Invaders

When that moment comes, before sleep invades your space,
Just for an instant, you can dictate tomorrow in this place,
The star of this show will be someone you know,
Where you can go, where you reside with nothing to hide,
Tomorrow can be your show, so, what you dictate my friend,
To yourself,
Is how it will be and how it will end!

Just how it is

Seeing the world through a diamond sky, telling my heart, telling a lie, that it will be OK, I won't be losing you, but if I ever do, I loved being in love, and I loved being in love with you xx

NEW?

So, imagination IS creation, I imagined you, you imagined me and that is what we see,
Simple at first, but complex over eternity!, constant imagination creates complication,

And now, we find ourselves HERE, in constant fear, of life and new creation, we probably should start anew, new me, new you, NEW what we imagine is true.

Memories

Memories are all we leave, of who we are, what we did believe.

Memories our loved ones hold, maybe, fanciful thoughts that were never told.

Wandering, thinking, seeing the light, knowing what is wrong,
and what is right.

Finding yourself before you go, to leave MEMORIES they can sow.

mountain man

I'm rough hewn Lil
you picked me still
to your North star
I'm the black

trace elements fly
to fill the sky..
you bring the things
I lack

I'm running Lil
I'm running still..
from the law
and from my sound

the man who fell
can lodge in hell
he tried to put me
in the ground

I found the Earth's rhythm
it bonded in my core
I get to trace a human face
each year at the General Store

Math or not?

I've worked out the computations, even ironed out the complications, if x squared equals 2 to the power of 3, then y is you and m is me.
Now that is obvious for anyone to see, but the chanches we would be, together eternally, and being no relation, well its called the Diophantine Equation , it is worked out so.................Find x, y, and z such that x³+y³+z³=k, for each k from 1 to a hundred,
Just in case you wondered!
So, now we are together, and when the planets have aligned, it shows our future path, and here is what I find, we are all one entity, eip + 1 = 0, its Euler's identity.
Now thats clear, whats meant to be if y is you and m is me, then now is as far as we can see, but you are my love, my soulmate, my friend ,and math or not we will be together until the end.

Why do you read my poems

Are you a vouyer to my past
To read my words
From my lifes journey
On my journey of life's toil
To find my hidden sole
my life
You read with such glee
To find that hint of me
My past my present
My future not told
I create these words from my heart
My words for
I can see
who i am but sometimes life hides this from me to the future life is hidden from me
On my ever ending posted life of me

we endure

I got your picture in my cabin
your smiling face is everywhere
your ghost is what I sail on
through the ocean of your hair
and my work it takes me everywhere
and nowhere fast and slow

it takes a man to plough an acre
it takes a woman to make it grow

the sea elevates my singing
despite my ungrateful tone
my thoughts are made of music
my thoughts are mine alone
then you wander warm inside my mind
like a gift from god to me

it takes a man to bring his story
it takes a woman to set him fee

girl we never did much talking
and when we did it was so brief
we laughed about eachother
and we smiled through pain and grief
you made the mundane magic
and you fought hard for your dream

it takes a man to set a plough right
it takes a woman to hitch a team

there's an empty chair that held you
a rare creature tall and true
if life has taught me one thing
Ive learned it all from you
and you laughed at my cowboy movies
as I turned into my old man

it takes a man to work his heart out
it takes a woman to give a damn

Lies

I dare to wake stumbling through heavens gate,
beauty abounds and noone knows,
cept me, I see, creations gift, this picture born,
imaginaton scorn, but tis the beauty of life,

Tis nothing new, for those fortunate few, who live
this way....everyday, nature cannot unfold if left
untold, let us be, let us see, let us know and
then we grow,

Moonlight falling majestically plays with my heart
creating smells of life, water silent in it's grandeur
holding my soul, making me real, the way to be, tis
my destiny,

And now I know what makes this so, not words, not
feelings, not love, not signs from above, just to
know who you are, to know that creation began with you,
and all that is will always be born from you....that's
what's true!

The Knight's sword

I am steel, I'm awake.
I will bend, but never break.

I have been tempered in fire & ice; the enduring forces have not always been nice.

My spirit caste in the crucible of my soul, forged with love & with passion burning brighter than coal.

An inquisitive nature has been my quenching force, through knowledge, through reason, making my spirit less coarse.

Sharpened like a whetstone, refined to last, cutting through conflict using reflections from the past.

Through insight, through imagination, I've become versatile in form, with a resolve of steel transcending the norm.

I fight for those I love, my family & friends, giving me purpose that I may smile in the end.

I am steel; I'm awake.
I will bend, but never break.

About this poem:
This poem is from the perspective of a sword; it also is a double entendre on how a sword is crafted as well as how a knight's character is developed. It's also a bit personal to me too because it ties in my resolve also. Enjoy!
