Came across a comment the other day that said everything is part of a big energy pool and everything in that pool takes its turn at being awakened every now and then in the form of some sort of consciousness. Then when we die we just return to the energy pool. To me this makes more sense than any other explanation.

Dogs can hear sounds that most humans can't hear, doesn't mean the sounds don't exist... And they are far more attuned to energies etc... For instance, my last partner was away working on the mountains, no communication because no mob coverage, no return date because of not knowing when the job would be finished ... on the day of his return, I knew because my dog went and lay by the door ... after a couple of, I thought no because it had already gotten so dark, but my dog was right!!! She went and started waiting for him at the precise moment they had set off from the mountain.
This story is only to illustrate that because most humans don't perceive certain things, it doesn't mean they don't exist!!

Yes. but this is clearly attributed to the dog's extrordinary scenting ability and not to some extrasensory perception.
