I'll be honest here ....NO I don't think they should
they belong in the wild
They don't normally make a good pet and people get them cause of the novelty that soon wears off,and it is sometimes a 15 to 30 year commitment to an animal you may very well find uncontrollable as an adult
If they can seriously harm people or other pets, therefore they are not allowed in the house.
It always depends on the individuals and the circumstances. For example, squirrels probably usually make horrendous pets and should not be taken out of the wild. However, there are probably lots of people who have squirrels. I could imagine a nature conservationist or a vet having a few squirrels as pets for various reasons. Some people have hawks, falcons and owls. Those birds are awesome, but not for everyone. One of my uncles tamed a few crows. The kids loved the crows, but the crows caused a lot of trouble in the neighborhood because they were not scared of people.
