Hearts and souls are all the same colour. I dont know about you, but I fall in love heart and soul. If your lucky enough to have love come into your life, accept it with grace. As for the brother he isnt sleeping with you, so tell him to FO
chris27292729: Can i be your chaperoned with your next date????
I can't see why colour of any description matters who dates who. Folk can date who they like as far as I am concerned.
I never worry about colour, creed or nationality as long as I like the person then I never have a problem....Any one who has a problem with that, then it is their problem not mine.

I don't have a problem, with race or color either, though from where the OP comes from, they have a huge problem.

I'm finding that it is unfortunate to some extent that we do not realize these things until our latter years...
loveprovider: I met one....but her brother doesn't like the idea.
I understand your question, but I am troubled by it for a couple of reasons. First, you need to not be so concerned about what anyone may "think" of your choice of an intimate companion. It is nobody's business, yes, not even her brother. The second point being, and please don't think I'm coming down on you, just this for thought: If you find yourself needing approval for a personal choice, such as a significant other, it is perhaps too early to make such a commitment. "To thine own self be true". It is your and her lives, it is no one's business. Aim high for what you really want, you shall not pass this way again.
venusenvy: It just bends my head to think that to some peeps this is an issue in 2012
Yes this is not rare especially in Eastern cultures. Just recently a girl in my office got married to a local guy. Before the marriage she wasn't allowed to spend a nightout with her bf (now her husband).
I think it all depends on the person whom the OP is dating with. If she is matured enough to know her right and daring enough to protect it, then who cares about what her brother wants?
wolfenfun: hey when you got nothing to hide.everything i have is paid for
Wth diff is that supposed to make? I just thought it was ironic (not to mention extreme hypocracy) for you to make cracks about peeps having no class ...O FYI...everything I own is paid for too
mustbnutz: Do what you want to do and tell the rest of them that don`t like it to take a long walk off a short pier.......
The above quote is as about as good as one can say in this situation. I find the entire question rather ludicrous; it has continued to be asked ever since the idiot British invaded the Indian sub continent in the late 18th century and kicked the French out who had no problems at all with , to use the name used by the Brits to refer to all Indians, Pakistanis and Afghans: "ni**ger" even up to the early 1920's as one of my original copies of the British edition book of "Little Black Sambo" with accompanying record of songs calls them. But as we all should know, by the time the Brits decided to vacate India, many had already broken down the colour and cultural bars, despite the sneering remarks of those 'savages' by all segments of lower and upper classes and especially the military. They left the same effect in South Africa, unfortunately, but not as deep. Most Afrikaners that I knew liked them and associated with them and did not refer to them as 'wogs', neither did any that I knew from serving with in the military. Both socially and professionally, we all got along quite well and no one ever thought to ask if it was ok to go out with an Indian or Pakistani woman; socially, they were a joy when out in public or over for dinner. The British South Africans were another matter altogether; one would think from all their whining and put on airs that they were at one of their exclusive polo clubs back under the Rahj debating the various tones of the servant's skins...they have always struck me as the single most unhappy people in all of Africa. Do what you wish and enjoy!
