more likely that I would just walk out and say nothing but I wish I could keep calm after the shock and say that I´ve just escaped from prison for killing my ex-boyfriends.

Some people (whom already live apart) keep legally married for different reasons.
Because of shared properties, insurances, medical rights, divorce’s costs, etc…. Or just family matters where children’s well being is the most important element.
- Children hope their parents will be back together-.
I would ask him to explain to me his situation after I throw him his plate on.
No, no.
Again:
I would ask him to explain to me his situation and then decide.

I would try to be civilized and do as I said. The point you make I do understand it but life is more than a black or white situation at least for a happy one.We are talking about a date nothing else.
He's dating someone he isn't married to! Why is he dating if he's married?
If someone wants to get out of a marriage I expect them to do their research for the next candidate AFTER they are divorced.
