Isnt it time for a world wide ubiquitous carbon tax to address climate change and fund natural disasters?

The carbon tax should be abolished immediately.
Global warming is a lie, in that it is not being caused by human activity to any significant degree.
The Earth goes through natural temperature cycles.
Also, the proponents of global warming have been caught lying, faking data and engaging in a conspiracy to destroy the careers of anyone who dared to disagree with their scam.

Funny how people disagree about global warming but the same people believe in terraforming which is the same thing.

I'm inclined to believe that both are stretching the limits of science fiction....but only one is taxable. laugh

everything and everyone has an impact on the enviroment.

it'd be good if we all used less.

But it'd also be good if everyone pitched in to help people out after a disaster like after the tsunami.

Global warming is what you get when politicians give scientists the conclusion and told to fit the facts . Any scientist falling out of line has been branded a heretic , a denier . Little wonder they fall inline or shut up . When I hear the greens talk of the world population being to high and must be reduced I can only but wonder if they are peddling genocide . All the talk seems to be about transferring first world wealth to third world contries who can't feed themselves because of corrupt leaders .

At least not for what we are told the intended purposes are.

I suspect that the real intentions are not the ones they announce.

Nah - No algae needed to terraform. Just heavy gasses to retain heat.

That is nonsense. Scientists have been telling governments about global warming and having it fall on deaf ears for many decades.

The problem is that now the governments decide to react they do so in a way to make money through tax. The future is micro reactors. One reactor per 50 - 100k providing cheap energy. That is the way to do it. Of course that won't happen because greenies like to trick people into thinking that all reactors are nuclear bombs. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Did you forget how the Professor Jones et al at the University of East Anglia were caught FAKING DATA to make it look as though global warming was happening when it was not? Follow the links on my previous post in this thread.
Also, did you ever think to wonder whose hand might be up the backs of those scientists to whom you refer?
Global warming is a scam dreamed up by the global financial elite (aka some Jewish futures traders on Wall Street) who decided that they could pull the ultimate scam, which was to put a price of air . . . on nothing . . . and then convince the goyim that they should pay for it. rolling on the floor laughing
As for the greenies who oppose nuclear power, the real story of their opposition to nuclear power is far more interesting. The main opposition, since day one of the movement, has been Greenpeace. Greenpeace is funded through a foundation in Holland that is financed by (insert drum roll) the Rockefeller Foundation. By funding the Greenpeace campaign against nuclear power, the Rockefeller family increases the value of its near total control of the global trade in fossil fuels.
Yes folks, all those hairy sandal-wearing unwashed lefties who can quote Marx are actually the useful idiots (Lenin's term for his idiot followers) of the global capitalist plutocrats, of whom they claim to be enemies. rolling on the floor laughing

I don't think anybody can tell exactly what will happen with the future of the climate or to what extent we are responsible for any changes that occur.

What we should push for is a practical approach to greater national self-reliance & localism as these are desirable anyway within our imbalanced economies, the bonus is that this would inherently limit pollution, reduce waste and raise efficiency.

If carbon can be extracted from the atmosphere and isolated, it can be used for carbon-based applications. Regardless of impact on the environment, we need to find a way to capture that carbon so it can be used. I've read articles about carbon being used to make superior batteries, and stronger-than-metal materials.

Not putting carbon into the atmosphere also has non-environment benefits. Using electricity from solar and nuclear power can reduce our dependency on fossil fuels, and reduce energy costs.

We can reduce carbon emissions, but we don't necessarily need to do it to prevent climate change. So the argument about climate change is possibly irrelevant.

I love how you go about saying that conservative centre right voters are left wing and "too stupid for words". Throw in that antisemitism and it is a wonder that you have not been banned from this site.

No doubt you believe in UFO's. The Loch Ness Monster. Secret cities on Mars. The boogey monster. Why? Because one conspiracy is just not enough for you conspiracy theorists. You have to believe in every one in the book. If I made a conspiracy up you would probably believe it. Even If I told you it was made up you would still believe it. Why? because conspiracy theorists are so overwhelmed by their desperation to have control over others.

The facts remain:
1. Professor Jones and friends were caught faking data and engaging in a consipracy to ruin the careers of anyone who dared to question their fraud.
2. The data shows that global warming stopped 16 years ago.
3. The evidence shows that the planet goes through warming and cooling cycles that are in sync with the cycles of the Sun.
4. Still waiting for the useful idiots of the global elite to try to explain away the Mediaeval warm period, which was so warm that the Vikings were able to farm in areas of Iceland that are today under ice and the oceans were much higher than they are today.

A group here has challenged the findings of our NIWA which has claimed that NZ's temperature's have got warmer over last century .A lot of extrapolation was done to arrive at the early part of the 1900's and guess what , they all turned out colder .SUPRISE , now of course the latter part of the 1900's seem warmer .One of the scientist's who was responsible has been fired and now working for Sanford University . Now every time there is a storm or drought our left wing media is on the phone to that fella so he can still peddle his crap . Left wing cranks the lot of them .
