I read some time ago an article about the 2012 but from an economic point of view, it was around 2005 I think. In a nutshell, there is to be a powershift from north to south, which back then was already a fact (china,india,and newcomer brazil). Know how, technology education, all that made and kept the power in "place".(Thanks mr. Berner lee, sorry if I misspell, am a foreigner). So yeah, the world has changed. Rich people agree to donate more money, people start caring about other they have nothing to do with. Technology develops exponentialy, our creator must be proud. One of the horsemen of the apocalipse is famine. And in 2005 (I think) was the first time in history that according to statistics the number of obese children was larger then the starving ones, and I am not embaressed to admit that I wept, cried like a child. Cancer in comparisson to malaria is a joke. We know more about the moon then our oceans. And why the f... Doesn't a coalition force just shove basher a cruise missil up his b...? We forgot about somalia, rhuanda, bosnia... ? Our creators are confused to jave to decide the fate of us. A species who has the capability to go from the wheel to cloning in under 10000 years but still accepts so called leaders butcher and destroy. Why the shooting in schools, what is wrong with these people? Is it bordom ? R they really driven just to be paied attention to ? Most people are happy to have a tasty meal under a roof. I don't get those shooting things, I could try to understand the so called crazy reasoning, but I will never understand that last push. As humans we are violent by nature but specially in industralized societies is where this (the shootings) happen most, countries like germany where you almost pay half of your income in taxes. Maybe that is the change, maybe empathy will be so deeply programmed into the new generations that violence could actually dissapear. And about the new world order, the bilderberg group and what not, well yeah, the only way to keep things as they are would be an almost mass extinction, who knows, maybe the sars or the swine flue were just a rehersal. But we are not blameless. A couple of centuries ago it were the french who chopped their problems away. Presently we should remember this, maybe a bit less viceral, but the essence is maintained.capitalism is proving to be ineffective (I mean the trillions in rescue to balannce out) socialism didn't even make it out the shop. The hibrids are doing ok, specialy china and brazil. I mean, if I had told a brit that the s.a. Colony would surpass them in a couple of centuries I would have hanged or burned. I would love to see a truly communist society work, s.t. That has never ever happened, the closest it came were several native cultures. I read a native american saying that burned into my mind, it said: we do not inherit our world from our forefathers. We borrow it from our children.

I do find interesting most of your comments and yes I do agree with you that 2012 is not going to be the end of the human race nor the end of this world but 2012 might be a point were we might be willing to express a more humane face, a more humane attitude, perhaps.
