I AGREE WITH THAT 100% SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU CANT ESCAPE THE SMOKE IF YOUR ANYWHERE NEAR ONE WHO IS SMOKING.
Hi all. I'm just new here......
I've just came across this thread and thought I'd post, just to say that I am an EX smoker! This April I will be OFF the cigarettes 8 years! And you know what? It was the best thing I ever did! I am so pleased with myself that I have stayed off them for this length of time. When I stopped I thought I would've started again 8 days later but I didn't. I stuck to my guns and I had all the will power in the world to keep off the darn things.
I was sorry I ever started, really sorry! Since then, I have now got Asthma as a result of from smoking and I get bronchitis from time to time.
I didn't take a thing to get me off the cigarettes, just will power. I never used hypnosis, never took tablets, never went to counselling, nothing, just used will power!
It's all down to will power, without will power, you have nothing. And when I stopped I smoked up to 20 a day. I never took a craving for a cigarette and now a days I don't either.....and if I did I'd just ignore it and go on with whatever I'm doing. I'd never go to the shop and waste on my money on those things again, never!!!!
So, good luck to those who are trying.....you can do it........just take one day at a time......and keep looking at the extra money you have in your purse......that's what I did!!!! Oh and most importantly, my health is a lot better since I stopped and I have not had 1 chest infection since I stopped smoking!!! And no hospital admissions either!!!!

justjim63: I'm curious, as a non smoker i'm intruiged as to what makes a person want to start smoking.? I could never see the appeal in it personally.

There are worse things, I met a girl off a site two weeks ago, and exchanged pics, she looked good, and when I picked her up she told me she had smoked some meth a hour earlier.
So no joke I drove to taco bell(not the original plan) bought her some tacos and drove her back home, the date was 45 minutes, but I did ask her a lot of questions about meth, like why she liked it and what does it do. She said it was like very strong coffee. So if I meet a tobacco smoker I wont complain.

Good lord. I knew smoking was bad for you but this is rediculous. I posted last night on page one and went to bed. I get up and there's been a blood bath.
