I'm very interested in this topic for the reason that it is a great experience but think it is being neglected to a very great extent.
For example in this country most of the mineral springs and baths some as old as from ancient Roman times have closed for 20 years now constantly being in reconstruction. I think it's a shame!!!
crazyblondeone: Over in Napa and Sonoma County where we have the beautiful California vineyards are you can actually bathe in Champagne baths. I think that would be a bit fun.
My hometown has hot wells and it is nice to occasionally swim in the hot water, I just get problems with my skin if I use it daily (fairly normal from what I hear).

Don't believe I've ever had the pleasure.
I bathe in a river at the present moment, which is quite nice at sunset, after a boiling hot day, although the water could be a little cleaner,I wouldn't drink it,but good enough to bathe in though.
crazyblondeone: We have hot springs all over California. I have not been to any though...so gonna have to go.
im going to have to put that on a list of things to do when i eventualy cruz back to california. i missed the opportunity when i lived in grass valley... as for the milk bath.... thatz gonna have to wait till i find a woman who is willing to be pampered without becoming cruel.
Yep.. in the middle of a tropical rainforest. No joke. Had to rope down a wall to get to it (and back up). It was ice cold and milky light green in color from the minerals. I don't recall any benefits beyond the "wow" factor.
It is still a popular thing to do among the retired population in Germany who have the time, leisure and retirement health benefits to go to those therms.
