as in life, it depends what the glass contains... if it is a very old scotch (single malt)... i would say is full; but if it is dump water, i will say is empty...(but sometimes we drink some landfill water).... we have to be optimistic about live, but living in the real world; "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."- walt disney said.... half empty is half of something... and it is something…. We just need to go and get the other half….with work, dedication, effort and tenacity. Ditto!!

well I don't care much about what's in the glass at all...if am thirsty then I only concern about where the water...
once I find the constant stream of water...I can fill/empty glass as many time as like...in fact i'll smash the glass of some rocks and be done with it!!!

Technically, the glass is always full, with varying ratios of water (or liquid) and air. Just the existence of the cup is the real magic.

I think people have all 3 traits of both optimist/pessimist and realist...different days have different variations for everyone.
