It helps if someone has a nice personality cause if their personality sucks then I wouldn't give them the time of day.

yes, look is at first the eye catcher, i agree, it happened to me that i saw someone(eyecatcher)and after a really short time i found out that i cannot come along with this person.I have more confidence in my ear as i have in my eyes.Means that the eye is more deceiving and the ear is more trustful.

In my opinion , it depends on the situation .
Some people R looking for fun and short-term , so they take the look or physical appearance on consideration .
While other people R looking for long-term or marriage , in This case they focus for both look and personality , or even sometimes they take personality on consideration ....

I agree that my first impression of someone, their physical appearance really does matter. This is not to say that that is what will entice me into or keep me in a relationship. But, if I have an initially strong physical dislike, it will never go any further.
