SoonerGal: LOVE~ because I'm beginning to question myself as to if I have really ever loved (other than kids and family)
Congrats, you see a man as a worker drone or authority figure, or both..never as a human being..Only love what he can provide..But hold on, here's more bad news, You really don't love your children either..You enjoy seeing your features they inherit and the reminder of your happiest of days when you were pregnant and raising them..Sorry, it is what is is..

I sincerely hope that's not a generalisation about women...again
AgentAjax: You only fixed it in your head but the reality outside of your ignorance is much different. Sorry to be so blunt.
No need to apologize, you're right. As with all negative emotions, fear is in my head (my mind.) But whenever it comes to the surface I choose to acknowledge it, accept it and observe it, but not identify with it. What I can bear to look at directly may give me an unpleasant time, but it no longer owns me.
Love (I'm not talking of romantic love here) on the other hand is part of my being, not an emotion, not a neurosis, but the very thing that makes us human. It's a force that links us all, to each other, to the universe, to your God.
Looking beyond the restricted realm of the thinking mind and the 'reality' it conjures up, can lead to everything that ignorance is not. It's not learning something new, but unlearning all that has past.

Look all communal creatures have the same traits , stealing lying, cheating etc if you don’t believe me I can identify some or you. The only difference between humans and critters is, we add meaning to it.

Almost correct, can't say I've ever heard of an animal telling lies though...
But you are right, so far as we know, ours is the only species which feels driven to find meaning, the only one which differentiates between how things are and how we think they ought to be. Once again all these negative traits are rooted in fear, mainly irrational fear or unauthentic fear. Ruled by the ego, as most of us are, we often seek rescue from our fears in the ways you mention. None of this though can remove man from the very essence of his being...that is to love and be loved, it's just that for most, the connection has been almost severed in the pursuit of illusory goals.

"One of my dogs, to get her favorite bed would run to the door barking until the other dog would get off her bed and join her at the door. She would then run back and get on the bed."

Patriotism =love
Religions =love
Freedom=love
These are the four major reasons people around the world kill or die for, all are motives of love.
you cant blame the love for this, you should blame the ppl.
