Rogerzoekt: The minute you get in a poll or thread, it fills up with a lot of regular visitors, who than use your poll or thread for a private get together and start or take over the conversation so the thread is being filled up by a discussion between 2 or 3 people with absolutely no connection whatsoever to the subject discused in the poll or thread.
Without kicking too much legs or causing too much commotion, can i suggest a chat box, email or maybe even phonenumber exchange so these people can talk in privacy??

Can be a bit irritating alright. But life's too short and you can just step over the non post chatters and continue on posting about the poll. Some people have no manners and others just forget theirs occasionally. :)

If some polls die a death so be it. I don't think the poll posters are gonna lose sleep over it somehow! And I don't think they need anyone talking about other stuff just to keep the poll going either! How sad is that! lol! Just set up another thread about what you want to talk about, simples!!! :)

felixis99: or they can simply come up with some ideas of their own and start their own threads. I know what you mean....I think a little bit of that is OK but the off topic discussions should not hijack an entire topic.
I know I am also guilty of it.. I don;t mind when it happens on my threads so long as the original topic is not lost....
