So you have not allowed vanity to cloud your perception and continually bseek to improve yourself,...an admirable "lie". Thosewho see nothing but perfection in a mirror only deceive themselves. Seeing that imperfection is merely a unique defintion of the individual is a projection of beauty.

That was not a lie,...it was a mis-perception, an assumption of another's feelings towards you. Unless, you knew in your heart that he didn't love you,....that could be considered a lie to ones-self,....but that kind of lie is based on hope and desire, and is understandable.

I guess I should at least answer my own question,....yes, I lie to myself,..and I know it. Thinking that when a problem comes my way, I need no help dealing with it,...that I can handle it all by myself,...and maybe I can deal with it (see,..easy to lie to myself,...pride goeth before a fall!),....I lie because at times I am embarrassed to reach out and whisper "help" to those most able to afford it to me,.....
I also lie to myself thinking there still exists an opportunity for me to gain employment as a stuntman in XXX videos,.....

If I'm aware it's a lie I'm telling myself well I don't believe on little thought I'm lying to myself about,,,,,now I may try to cover in the cracks to make it appear what I'd like it to believe it to be,,,but eventuallaly the cracks surface again ,,,,.tell me lies tel me lies tel me sweet little lies .

Sure, denial/self delusion type stuff.
