^ A mother's love should last forever, but alas, we can find examples in real life that shows otherwise.
^ Can we have a timeline to work with, other than a mothers love? If someone thinks someone else loves them so much that they fall in love and marry them, only to divorce later, were they ever truly in love mentally, emotionally and physically? or was it just infatuation and make believe?

Exactly:- He can't take me as I am and expects me to change.
Part of me is:- I don't try to change anyone. Every person is a person in his/her own right with their flaws, etc.
So I get the raw deal not him.

KNenagh: If you go towards someone with that attitude, you will get an attitude like that. In a relationship it's not only about one person. I do like my life, the people in it, I know what I want and like etc. - but I like myself sounds a bit narcissistic.
I never had an issue with a man who wanted to change me - I always looked for an equal partner and they as well. I am willing to take someone's wants and needs into consideration and had the same courtesy extended to me. Otherwise you're at nothing.

Only a baby gives unconditional love to it's mother, adults can't/won't love unconditionally, we always have conditions, not least loyalty and honesty.
The reality is, only animals truly show unconditional love, and even a baby will change it's love to whomever is feeding and demonstrating love to it.

Some of us never had love, ever.
Others think love is sex.
All I know is that a mother's love last forever, and with no string attached.
With some love it's an exchange. I love u so u owe me.
