Life starts with u screaming, then sucking, then crawling, then walking, then running, then sitting, then lying, then dieing. U laugh, u cry, u swear, u die.
I think it is. Of reality we see only what our senses show us, and we tell our story to ourselves. We can change the story about the world and life which makes it very apparent. To stop tell that story is to wake up though

How do u know that u r awake or asleep and just dreaming all of it?
I'm not a believer in solipsism. To think that the world and everything in it is a product of your imagination is pretty god damn narcissistic. I'd call it vanity to the point of insanity.
I wouldn't trust anyone who actually hand-on-heart believed in this no matter how nice they make seem.

U know there is not just black and white, but lots of shades of grey in between.

And I'd say insanity his holding solid whats not solid and wouldn't trust anyone who without study believes they know what they are on about

The idea, and pretty much the consensus of science, is that we are basically e=mc2, and the existence as a movement of unbroken wholeness without borders. Has nothing to do with narcissism. You as a human, would have had a different "dream" in the sense I think OP meant it, if you were f.ex born in a different time and in a different social class.

I don't think you've understood what solipsism is.
Differing viewpoints on an external reality that independently exists is not solipsism. The moon looks different depending on where on earth you view it from, but the moon still exists when you're not looking at it. We interpret reality but we do not invent reality no matter what the Discovery channel says now that quantum mysticism is the latest simpleton fad.

I think you didn't understand what the thread is about. Didn't you just do what you refuted as possible?

sundered: I think his misunderstanding is that he turn it inside out. You can say the big bang was a solipsistic moment from what some believe was god. Not that the universe is a cause for what caused it. Solipsism in itself for an individual human obviously isn't right
The big bang theory is a very accurate assumption, I would say.
Obstinance_Works: I do not. I have difficulty enough alone figuring out what it is you're trying to say without having to shoot it down too.
And yes everyone is entitled to their half-arsed musings. But I suppose this is why I encourage belief in reality and discourage solipsism. So long as there is some objective standard by which to measure ourselves then all opinions cannot be equal and some people will be less wrong than others.
