allthegoodnamest: Ireland 24-9 France

Congratulations Ireland on a superb game. The team completely outclassed the French, particularly in the second half, despite losing players through injury, including their captain, O'Connell.

My hat off to you....

France now face our men.....bring it on...[/quote

Haven't seen anything to trouble your boys yet .. Id say the Aussies are the only stumbling block to winning the cup.

Hi J wave

Oh, I wish. There's still a long way to go yet.

Ireland are in top form, and we never underestimate the French....and as far as Australia are concerned....they just seem able to slip it into another gear when it counts.

...but of course, I'd like our boys to lift the cup again....cheers

Congrats Ireland,,, they did it like champions do, thumbs up it wasn't like a good luck there were injuries, just the negative side of this sport,,i hope they all will get well to go on playing, France lost but that's it all about, a winner & loser in a fair and clean play.
thumbs up cheers

And there................. you are!

Perfect result for the civilized world. France will take out the strongest colonial team with typical gallic flair, and leave ourselves and or France and Wales to sort out the didgeridoo players and the Jap bashed lion bait.

Great to see the Webb Ellis trophy coming back to the Atlantic Nations. cheers

The evidence from this world cup would suggest that the order of the top three Southern Hemisphere teams are

1 New Zealand

2 Australia

3 Japan

Yeah we won 16-9 but as I said it was not a good performance.

I guess it was psychological and they were holding back for yesterday.

Thought they also wanted it more Babette.
Ireland have been the best team in the Northern Hemisphere for the last 2/3 years so it was no surprise really.
Have not understood people predicting France and England doing better in this WC apart from our history of not performing at world cups. Ireland will be hard to beat.

Think we have some fantastic players and one of the best managers in world rugby, got to be a kiwi, right laugh

We shall see, but on the evidence so far, the Aussies look the team to beat imo.

We haven't looked as cohesive as we should be....but sometimes a few tweaks
and positional changes , people on at the right times can make all the dif
i don't think the French on current form should be an issue, the Boks are always tough, but i think we can out-tough them (presuming they beat Wales) ...so it will be the final we are at !!!! grin

Yeah think you will be in the final.
Sometimes it can be a psychological thing and the AB's have not needed to be at their best so far.
France will be a wounded animal after yesterday and I expect them to be better next week. They will try to beat you up, very little flair to their game but still expect the AB's to come thru.
