mollybaby: That depends on who is deciding what a woman should be.
Those who constantly spout about how "oppressed" women have been for all of eternity, until the wonderful enlightenment of the 21st century, insult all women who have gone before them.

It was many of those brave women, and enlightened men, whofought for equality of women to get out of the oppression. They are to be applauded.

This is what I call the "Here and Now Worldview". The view that, at any given time in history, we have got everything exactly right, and at every time preceding the present moment, we got everything wrong.

I never said anything like that.

We live in an imperfect world, no matter the era.

Some things improve, some disimprove, but it is never static.

Uncle Charlie's Dating Tips #74:

Here's a great way for a man to expose the hypocrisy of feminist women:

Start a conversation with a woman who believes firmly in womens' right to a traditionally "male dominated career". Indeed, ideally in one herself.

Tell her that you firmly believe gender-role stereotypes are outdated.

Watch her enthusiastically agree.

Then ask her if she is willing to work and support you while you stay at home as a house husband.

Watch her squirm and come up with a hundred reasons why you're "not really compatible" and "by the way, I have to get going, sorry".

You see, the reality is that, while most women are OK with women having careers, doing masculine things, etc etc, they do NOT respect men who believe it should cut both ways. It's OK for women to be "masculine" but not for a man to be "feminine". This double standard (humbug, hypocrisy, call it what you will) is at the heart of the problem with Feminism as an ideology.

Many of these modern western women...want to have their cake and eat it...but a lot of men are beginning to see the harm, that fem9nism does to women, men and societies...we see that the world would be much better for ll...if feminism died and traditionalism return
