Many of us do. Those of us whom have loved ones in both countries. Those of us whom care about the world in general-if two nuclear age powers use their capabilities, it affects and effects the rest of us as well for centuries, IF there is still a world left.
mason2007: its called natural nutrition...the earth has to many people to support
Your post makes no sense, If war breaks out, all areas are affected -loss of food, healt, life, etc. Then the rest of us pitch in to help feed the surviviors. There would be no Natural anything in this scenario.

First of all it is called "Attrition",and a Nuclear Exchange is anything but Natural Attrition as you so nicely put it. As Ayn Rand put it,It is Freedom That The Have-Nots Have Not!
I´m curious to know why some of the posts are assuming that the OP is in favour of the war, his only comment was to say that it was a serious issue and ask our opinion on whether or not there should be a war.
Some report now coming from the region are saying that the Pakistani border build up is merely a troop rotation. That they had planned to rotate troops from the Tribal area during winter time to the India border.
Pakistani leaders are saying that they don't want a confrontation.
ooby_dooby: This is an issue that should be resolved through "binding arbitration" under the authority of the UN. They husbanded this conflict in the first place back in the late 40's!
Any war between Pak & India would ensnare China as they have a common border with Kashmir and India.
England and the United States would be sucked into this conflict also because we both have interests and relations with both sides. Add to that Russia and the whole Muslim world not to mention countries around the globe with interests in India.
Are you starting to get the picture "Handsome"? What you have here is the same situation that preceded the start of the first world war. Hopefully we've learned something from that!
well, got to agree with this, if there is a war and Pakistan's military looses control of the nukes there they can get into the hands of terrorists. and it would also make alot of Country's choose a side and put now allies as foes....It will be bad for the world as a whole. But I also understand that sometimes when provoked war is needed... Hope it isn't this time....

A military conflict betwee India and Pakistan would put those nucs at risk.....both to the terrorist theft and to an Indian attack.
The US during the Musharref power lost, asked for and got security agreements on them. But this is a different deal. Pakistan leaders are not going to give the locations of their nucs up at time of military conflict. Not going to give security agreement on them, when they might have to use them.
I am hoping that everyone take one big step to the rear.....holds their breath and counts to 10....takes a hand count to see how many want war. If one raises his hand, they tie him up.....hold their breath and count to ten again....now take another count.
