What do women look for when in search of a long term relationship (42)
My prime consideration in looking online was to seek within my area to find someone with compatible interests since I can't seem to find them in person.
What I found were a bunch of friends and acquaintances that I love chatting with and sharing ideas and feelings with...and some very special friends that are like family to me. I also found one very special person slightly outside of my area that I hope to have a lot more with soon.

Two nice little words used there… respect & commitment, and the only question you need to ask yourself is what he would be basing that on, because you know what you would be basing it on. Bottom line is you can both have respect and commitment, but are they based on the same value system.

I chose compatibility and interest. We need something in common to have things to start a conversation about. I am a smoker so they would have to be able to deal with that. So when I look at a profile and they are not I read on to see if it is offensive to them. If it is I don't send a message or view again.
Some people like their space as I do too so that is important as well. Sure I like to spend special times with them but not every minute of the day. Nor do I want to explain if I am not at home when they call where I was. What I am saying is if I get off work and it takes me 30 minutes to get home. And if he calls and it has been 45 minutes, don't freak out.
