That's a brook trout. Much easier to catch than your browns which I would love to try some day. Irish waters are mythical to American fly fishers.

I can't be sure of the Irish meaning, but sounds like he meant it the same as over here in the States...here "honky" is a white person...usually used derogatively by black people. Just explaining, btw...I don't like any racial slurs, and refuse to use them. In my particular area, it's also used as "Mill Honky" because so many of the people in this area are descended from those of Eastern Europe who came over and worked in the steel mills...Croatian, Ukranian, Hungarian, and Polish. (Just thought I'd throw in a bit of Pittsburgh and surrounding area culture.)
