Actually the idea of trinity comes from celtic pagan beliefs that predate christianity, The Christians adopted this, for lack of imgination, and to help incorporate the non-christian tribes(that they were not murdering) into christianity.

I do not believe in the Holy Trinity as such but I most certainly do believe that there is a God that is in control of everything. I believe that different faiths have different ways of feeling and coming to understand God.
What ever way a perceives and reaches God spiritualy is OK, especially if it brings peace and contentment into a person's life.
