Yeah it does turn u off for the most part, 1 coz the smoke annoys me and wen u kiss then it just tastes terible not saying bout the health issues.

I smoke, but have cut back and am on the road to finally eliminating this last vice. I can be around other smokers for now, but if I were considering dating someone, they'd have to be ready to quit also. After I quit, I wouldn't be able to date a smoker...and the lifestyle I'm changing slowly over to doesn't support it as a habit.

all us smokers are leppers then oh i know the argument for never starting every one in my family did smoke so i suppose we kind were passively addicted before we started so had they still been alive I would have sued the arses off my parents but sadly the smoking killed them off

I Have not smoked as of about 18 Days now. Smoker for 35 yrs, then cold Turkey, But I will give you that answer when I find it. As for now it is taking alot of will power to keep them away

I have a strange response. I smoke a cigar every week. But I don't like women who smoke, as far as dating. I don't like kissing a woman who smokes. Just my opinion!

Congrats. Yjays Wonderful. My mother and my father was a smoker I guess thats why I hated it so much now. My mother quite smoking around 1983 and had been a smoker for about 40 years. Both of my parents smoked and I never even thought about coming a smoker.

Sorry but the date would not get very far. I literally have problems breathing around cigarette smoke. I hate the smell of it on my clothes and others. So while I do not like to discriminate its not something I can physically be around.

I dont think it is about judging a person character. It has nothing to do with it. If it turns you off it just does. I mean a man could be the sweetest nicest, caring lovable person in the world. And if he smokes I woul dnot be able to date him because I would not want to kiss him and I hate my clothes smelling like that. That does not make him a bad person nor it will not stop me form being his friend. You get what I mean. If thats what a person do then its fine I dont judge either but I cant force myself to be around something that I dont like. You get where I am coming from?

Hello my fellow West Indian. I was born in Anguilla. I come home every year will be moving back soon cause things are getting pretty bad here lol Anyway I agree with your statment. I hate the smell of it and i dont like the way the order linger in my clothes. I dont think it is discrimination its about what you like and what you can be around. As I was stressing to another poller I dont judge because someone smoke but it is a choice I have the right to make as if I want to date them and be romantic with them. I wont stop being friends or hanging out because they smoke.

I spent some time visiting a male friend who was a smoker. Upon returning home, every one of my clothes still stank of stale smoke. If only smokers could smell themselves. It is only after they have given up, they notice what other people around them have been suffering.
I enjoy kissing too much to have a relationship with a smoker.

I have heard that from a few people that had stop smoking. Many cant stand to be around it now. I am a school teacher and I had a student that was homebound due to an illness. When the child came to school she smelled like puer smoke.Girl when I went to that house the windows were so yellow for nicotene that you could not see in or out. The curtains were stained from it as well as the material on the furniture. It was pretty bad. Needless to say I didnt return and ask a co-worker who was a smoker to take the case she did and lol she was disgustied also lol It was horrible

I gave up on the 1st February and feel wonderful.
My profile was adapted accordingly. However, I don´t want to become one of those intolerant, ant-smoking preachers, and somehow ex-smokers seem to be the worst!
Here in Spain smoking is still very common so I can´t avoid it, but most of the bars are pretty comfortable and not too smoky.
So, in answer to the question, I would prefer a non-smoker now, but only because I don´t want to be tempted to start again.
