Even if all of humanity disappears in a puff the world will not end.......
....we are nothing but an inconsequential entity in a much longer and vaster lifespan of a planet that has supported various other forms of life before us......and will do so again if we disappeared....
....just a matter of time.
Having a drastic change from the manner that we have been living to the present is however, another story.....
.....it is in effect already happening.....we are now becoming more aware that the civilization as evolved in not sustainable.....
....change is forthcoming.....maybe in manners nobody has yet predicted or foreseen....but it will come....
it is the only inevitable truth in this matter.
As to wether we will survive it or not, only time will tell.

I don't think so, becoz as we don't know its MFG date exactly the same we don't know its Exp date.

However, this chaos is not the end of the world in 2012, it is the end of an era that is supposed to wake up mankind to take care of the earth so that it regenerates itself.

I did a quick google search and the 2037 date seems to come from a new way of calculating the calendar's meaning.
Until a few years ago all the sources were saying that the mayan calendar predicted the end in 2012. I first saw that date in a film about Nostradamus that I saw in 1984.
I don't know anything about the Mayan calendar, and I doubt if its predictions are valid, but I do know that the 2012 date has been very widely publicized, and I suspect that there is a reason for that.
I think that the spectre of the approaching "end" is being promoted now to heighten fear as the globalists set up their one-world order. They need global paranoia so that people won't question their actions.
The 2012 date serves better for that purpose.
People won't start to worry about 2037 until 2035.

Me to because the Bible say God is the only one who knows.But it also says that we can know the end is near by what is happening around us ,the weather, the wars and when they cry peace and safety there will be sudden destruction.
It would be very nice to think that, in a similar way to the end of the 11th insight of the Celestine Prophesies, we might all vibrate into a much higher level of consciousness and thereby call an end to the warlike state we find mankind in currently......
The world cannot possibly end in 2012 as I have some investments that shall mature in 2013!

If it will happen, it won't be because of some all loving god fighting a guy in a red suit with a pitch fork who lives on earth decided that wiping out his own creation was the only way he could think of to kill the guy in the red suit with the pitchfork.
It's supposedly the end of the world... "as we know it". I think in 2012, the planets are supposed to align to where they think it may change the axis and/or rotation of the earth. Which may make valcanos and earthquakes and hurricanes and sunamis go crazy. And even change weather patterns, such as... cold where it's normally hot, hot in the north pole, etc. It may be a show you don't want to miss. 
Everyone should not worry about it at all!.
