why i ask this lots of people after marriage they dont care for there parents they only need there kids and wife/husband ............. do u ever try to forget your parents .................
jashcd: I HOPE ALL KIDS NEED THAT .. there parents love they need it .... so dont make single mom or single father only god can make that .................
rodolpho: I am blessed with good parents but not all of us are lucky.
Makes you think about the concept of unconditional love dont it.
And I have another thought about that...
but Im not gonna share it cos I know how peeps will react to it.
I think its beautiful the way some can speak of there parents. Unfortunately there are some of us who where not blessed with having good, kind, loving parents.
Nor do I believe I am any less of a person for not. In fact I think it made me a stronger person.
I shouldn't refer to my situation as parent's either its parent. I have a wonderful father.............my mother however. I wont go there.

I too was truly a very, VERY, lucky child. I had a father who was simply amazing in his patience and understanding. Very fair even though he was also firm in his beliefs and consistent with all he did for me. My mom remains steadfast in her faith and trust in how I live my life and has always been supportive even though I have gone against her advice countless times. I was respected by both of my folks and still am very respected by my mom, as I was by my dad right up to his final days.
I am curious about your other thoughts Rodolpho, maybe drop me an e-mail with them if you wouldn't mind.
There were some tough times mind you, and I do not view my parents with rose colored glasses so to speak, I know their flaws as they know mine, but it doesn't change the respect and love we have for each other. So to answer the question of the thread, no I don't forget my parents and all that they did both to me, and for me, etc.
rodolpho: Yeah I know but I will get lame replies like, u dont know cos u dont have children.
I know what you mean. People who reply with that response are closed minded. I get that response too... I don't contribute anymore in conversations where that could be said. I could just as easily say to them when they've tried to give me advice with regard to my ailing father; "until you're in this situation, actually caring for an elder parent, you don't know what you would do". But that's not something I resort to.
We may not have children, but we were children, and I have nieces and nephews. And guess what, we have opinions too.

NO, a huge NO, how can I ever forget my Parents, my Mum is still around, my Dad passed and I still miss him. They brought me into this World, and gave me the BEST a child would ever need/want. I was Blessed with them, and still am with Mum around!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. I am a stonger person cause of my parents. I think about them all the time, but don't really have relationship with them. I am sure they love me in their own way though.

My father passed away when I was 12. Was seperated from mom almost the whole time. Mom wasn't perfect, but did her best to raise us I guess... single moms like to have fun too. Mom is 64 now. I never forget my parents.
