If not the world, the real world, must be a pretty scary place for you. Admittedly not as scary as it is for those who’s delusions include demons and space aliens with long metallic probes but undoubtedly still scary.
Back in the late 60s there were quite a few utopians that moved to Vermont to “build a new world” by living in communes, growing their own food and weed “Living off the land”. They all believed that they were the future and what they were doing was going to bring about a perfect world with love and happiness.
They hated the corporate world save for the checks from home thanks to dear old Dad being part of that reality.
Some of them cut and run after the first winter. Some of them waited until the septic tank backed up or the outhouse overflowed. Some lasted until their girlfriend got sick of doing all the hard work.
Others just grew up and got real jobs so they could feed and clothe their children.
The song “Imagine” is just a song. It is not a realistic model for how the world can or will be.
No war, no hate, no greed? Damn but it would be nice. But it’s not going to happen no matter how many times you click your heels or how hard you wish.
Two houses to the north of me is a devout fundamentalist Christian man. Two houses to the south an openly gay man of about the same age. There is very little the two agree on. Neither totally approves of the others life style. BUT, the like each other, they always stop to visit when they see each other and if one needed help the other would be there ready willing and able to help.
That kind of thing to me is close enough to utopia. It’s here now. Not waiting, no revolution, no fuss, no muss, no cost.

Will likely will be NMFBLL....the way we are going. They will take the best of both sports merge them into one. Then dissolve both the NFL and MBL because they failed to get a stimulus package soon enough.
