Da10th: I don't have a problem with white lies, such as if you ask someone what they got you for christmas or your birthday and you respond "nothing" or lies of that nature that are intended in gest. I do however have a problem with lies that have a way or either leading to more lies, are about the relationship itself, etc.
Well said. Picking your arguments or not sweating the small stuff.
morgan5: I met a guy on here for a date, his profile stated he was 5'8", when he turned up he was shorter than me!! i'm about 5'3". The fact he was short didn't really bother me what put me off was the fact he had lied.
still a lie is a lie they may have their reasons but you will get caught up as one lie leads to another just to cover it up, the truth is easy you don't have to keep changing stories, i will give them one chance but after that they are history,

My sentiments exactly.
Also, If they are lying about little stuff that makes no sense to be doing that, then they are most likely a complusive liar and that's even worse.

Hello
how's it going kiddo keeping out of trouble? neighbor said it takes a special tool to take the axel out of your car, have to ask if he has one will let you know
Interesting post. I guess it would depend on what the lie was about - whether I could overlook or not. The posts about "one lie is a dealbreaker" does not apply. So far EVERY single woman I've talked to - that's physically talked to on the phone or in person - has lied about there age. And every single one shaved 5 years off! Weird coincidence?? I understand "Dr. Phil" actually told women to automatically shave 5 years off their profiles!! To be perfectly fair, they ALL fessed up when we talked/met the first time and, personally, I could have cared less. So how do you say one lie is a "deal breaker"???

age height etc. in a profile to me is no big deal it is when it moves into something more of a relationship on line or in person i give one chance and then it is goodbye. that is just me others have their own thoughts
Scubadiva: Does anyone mind if they're involved in a lawsuit and their lawyer lies on their behalf?
Does anyone stop voting although we all know politicians are notorious liars?
Does anyone stop buying cosmetics or other useless products full well knowing that the advertisers are lying?
... just thinking out loud....
Good replies both from Scuba and Summer...my personal motto when I get angry at someone is "if you can't be honest with me-don't be with me". The reality is it happens and relationships are a compromise. It is up to you what you compromise on or you might lead a lonely life. Age is no big thing if your attracted to someone and they to you, they and you should be honest up front because who are you really fooling? Experience should have taught you to keep your eyes open by now on all else!

Hello, I am doing great.
The ex boyfriend got one from autozone or Oreillys back when he tried to pull it out, and he couldn't. And one other guy with a little shop tried to and couldn't. So I don't know if that will help, ask him what happens if it won't come out, how do you get it out then.
