If we were happily married or in a happy relationship, and you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and ended up at the hospitial. Your chances for survivial is 2%.
Would you rather have me say to you "Honey you are going to be fine and you will pull through this." Knowing in my mind this will not be the case. I would be lying to you. Would you kick me out of your hospital room and refuse to see me again?
Or
I could say "Honey you are going to die." which would be the truth. Wouldn't that just make you lose all hope of being the lucky 2% that may survive?
I would be curious to hear from everyone on this hypothetical, man or woman, just reverse the roles.

A two percent chance means that your truth may be a lie. The truth is the chances if even that. I once dated a girl that had a five year expectancy, i saw her ten years later and she looked fine.

I know that if you give a farp then it will be more difficult when the patient dies. What you say you should try and believe, it will help with the patient attitude of whether to just give up or fight to live.

Medical research saids that the heart only beats so many times before its done. Lies increases the heart rate and decrease the life line. Exercise actually decrease the heart rate in normal status, increasing the life expediency.
