FYI: "Gypsy" or "Gypsie": one of several largely nomadic races originating in central and/or central eastern Europe.
"Dark" or "Black" Irish": a person of Spanish and Irish heritage".
"Scot-Irish" or "Scottish-Irish" (never Scotch-Irish!)" either an emigree from Scotland to Ireland OR a person of Irish and Spanish heritage.
now, just out of interest could someone tell me the term native Hawaiins use for a caucasian person living on the Islands? I use to know but have forgotten. thanx...

avecaim: I think is is something like Howlie or Hauli
You are right! I remembered as soon as you posted it. thank you zillions! (it bugs me to not remember something I know that I KNOW! you saved the day for me.
According to the following I am a Heinz 57,as we call it around here. I am mannered, I give flowers, not to women with allergies(long story) and if anyone says anything about me it's "laid back easy going"DARN I CAN'T SPEAK WITH AN ITAIAN ACCENT. ha ha If I see something I think she will like I buy it for her.
aussies are well known for being laid back chinese they like buying gifts for their women..its their way of showing love
filipino guys likes to give flowers especially when you just started dating..or should i say only when its starting..
italian..are romantic and gentleman
english..they are so well mannered by their action and words..they choose words carefully..just not to hurt you
OUTRAGEOUS: Hispanic men are basically machistas, but that all depends of their country of origin. Latin Countries that have a great European or American influence usually have more of the traits from the old countries. The italian, spaniard, portuguese descendants are very protective of their women, and most are very gallant and romantic. Hispanic lovers are intense, but not always in-tune with the woman's needs.
From my experience, the differences that are so attractive in the beginning and that will draw two people from different cultures and background together, are the same things that will eventually pull them apart.
It takes a great deal of commitment to make it work. When you go into a long term relationship that will probably end up in marriage, most of us are looking for the comfort we had (well, at least I did) when growing up, to be able to give that to our own children. So, the foods, the customs, the traditions, music...all will play a very important part in your life together.
In short, I don't think is one nationality or the other but the amount of commitment both are willing to put forward, to please each other. JMHO
I like all you have said here. However, the last two paragraphs, really are hiting the nail on the head. Well daid and I agree with you, we do want to give these things to our children and it is MUCH hard work, but well worht every bit of the work.

OK! First lets get your facts into perspective. Irish, Scottish,British, French++ are descendants from Spaniards from Southern & Northern Spain Basque country! Spanish is a language spoken all around the world, not a place or a person!

Now Gypsy or Gypsies are descendants of Armani!
But in the Basque country they do not speak "Spanish", or Castellano more commonly called here. They speak Euskara, and are related to the French in the north and not so much with the people down here
The Romani comes from the Indian area and arrived here during the dark ages. The name Romani has no connection to the Romans or to the Country Romania as many seem to think.
How they would be pleasing a woman.. Have not got a clue, put anyone building a palace like Taj Mahal for a girl, are pretty into it...

Brian67: I see I put Armani Sorry! Lmaooo Romani are Gypsies = Gitano= Flamenco dancing!
Romani or Romany, Gypsy or Gipsy (native name: rromani chib) is the language of the Romani people. It is an Indo-Aryan language, sometimes included in either the "Central" or the "Northwestern" group, sometimes treated as a branch of its own.
Romani is a macrolanguage in the ISO 639 classification, taken to consist of seven sub-languages or major dialects. The largest dialect is Vlax Romani with close to 1.5 million speakers, followed by the Balkan, Carpathian and Sinte variants with a few hundred thousand speakers each.
mike69spain: not uncommon to find a countryboy driving an old suburban, but it sounds like a hot tip, and they've got space to do the rumble
......Hmmmmmmm.....Just curious and 'Tongue in cheek'...Again....you mentioned 'Space' ....are talking about there 'Empty Space' in there heads here....just wondering.....??????

Funny thing is that in the late 19:th - early 20:th century many words from the gypsy language found its way into Swedish via the jails.
Why so many Romanis where in jail at the time had to do with Swedens sudden nationalistic frenzy where all should follow a certain standard (that stuck) and no people without an address where allowed on the streets without a "license" to beg.
I think the real reason was that young Swedish women fancied the Gypsies free lifestyle and many a fair woman were lost to their camps ...
