Zeelander: I am curious how many people have read it. I really don't care about the reason you didn't, just need to make the poll more than a yes or no.
Just started reading it...but it is over 1018 pages long so it might take me a while
scon1916: I'm not an American and so would like to know why so many people are objecting to health care for all. It sounds like a very good idea to me.
Overhauling healthcare is a great idea... it really does need it. But why would you let something as inefficient as the US government run it? Why would you want to be covered by a plan that even the US Government doesn't want to be under? If it is such a great plan why would congress exempt themselves from being under it? They have a private plan that they can stay on.... why can't their plan be an option for the citizens?

JMO.. The majority of Americans do want affordable health care..those opposed have different political agenda's and are using scare tactics to frieghten people out of supporting health care reform.

First get through the bill before making an opinion.... you might like it more or you might like it less... but you can't make an informed decision by what others tell you... people lie.

I understand what you are saying...but honestly, as you stated before 99.9% of Americans don't read the bills. There is a reason for this...nobody has time!!! Each bill is over 1000 pages and there are hundreds of active bills. That is why we elect representatives to inform us and represent us. True, there are many dishonest representatives, but this is a chance we take during any election. I am not saying be a push over, it is our personal responsibility to stay informed. I will continue to read the bill and I will be the first to admit I am wrong, if I find reason for concern, but until then I will rely on my education, my elected officials, my personal experiences and my gut to influence my opinion. So far, I have no reason to mistrust Obama. I'm glad I voted for him, I support him as President and I support the visions that he has had throughout his political career.

I work 50-60 hours a week and I made time. I think it is because I wanted to know what is in it not just what people say is in it.
somechick: No I haven't read it and probably won't cause no matter what we're all going to get left out anyway.
that's the beauty of capitalism at best dear...in capitalism, you are either a winner or a loser. So now you know where bush is coming from when he says " you are either with us or against us"

As I explained to you in a mail here's what else my sis-in-law said in another mail to me regarding Obama's Healthcare bill.
She wrote: Cap and Trade and the other government take over of Healthcare.Either one of these measures will devastate our already crippled economy (as they did to California's economy)-- both together will be death blow to our economic system as we know it and our personal freedoms will be increasingly eroded by federal regulations and controls.

The Bill is NOT that hard to find. I anyone can find this site, they are more than capable of finding this Bill... just that people are too damn lazy. I guess they get what they deserve.
CaySea: Im curious if you are so interested in the bill to read the whole thing why are you not in politics? With language like that you would fit in well in the Aussie parliament
