How can you be exclusively committed to someone after one date, the second date usually means OK, I'm somewhat attracted to this person and we'll go out again and see what chemistry develops, total and full commitment, from my point of view usually doesn't take place on a second date and it's totally foolish and ludicrous to make such an assumption. Any woman that got pissed off at me for seeing someone else just because we had a couple of dates would find herself to be the one left out in the cold !

I agree, there is a big difference between dating a couple of times and marriage..If the guy was married then different story but if he's just dating different girls no biggie..best to try before you buy!

Ah, it's good to get some intelligent feedback from the opposite side, but judging from the replies of other gals on the subject, your opinion is in the minority, and I do agree with you, 100% on the marriage factor. Once the vows are taken one should respect and honor them.

I think a lot of people, men and women alike make the mistake of thinking that a couple of dates constitute a serious relationship.. I went out for coffee once with a guy and a couple of days later received a text saying he couldn't continue the relationship(hello what relationship) if I wasn't going to bother texting or phoning him...some people just try to jump into things far too fast!

Yeah, I have a bit of an issue with online relationships for that same reason, unless you actually meet the person that you're interested within a reasonable amount of time, and I'm talking no more than a few months (2-3) how can you be in a committed relationship ? When you finally meet in person, that would count as your first actual date, and from then on, if it's gonna happen it will, plain and simple.

I'm surprised by the zero tolerance attitude that most women have expressed here. That green-eyed demon. As I guy, I'm used to there being another suitor on the scene somewhere. It's inevitable that a desirable woman would have other people interested in her. And I'd accept the challenge graciously.
Well almost all athletes cheat and the women they cheat on know it. They get off on the money and bragging to their friends because they are insecure.
Many women make terrible choices in the men they choose to be with; then they say men are dogs; no; the men they choose are. Many times women are their own worst enemy.
