the Germans Did field test a nuclear weapon 3 times. in 44 (late )
& 45, I dont really know why the CIA kept it a secret for 60 YRS but recent declassified documents show that the Germans did in fact do so. the Russians also had files in the KGB Vaults that showed this to be true. and, there are witnesses, the Germans also used about 500 Russians POW's to test the effects of that radiation after the blasts.
