Mother Nature was spilling her inner cauldron gasses into the atmosphere for millions, perhaps billions of years in forming modern day earth.....Global warming? Absolutely, Global cooling? you betcha. It has taken place naturally over billions of years. If people believe that the earth is going to stay the way it is now forever and ever by the hand of man, regardless of what whacko Al Gore would lead you to believe, is sadly mistaken. Earth is a never ending evolving planet that man will never have control over. It's not Global warming we need to concern ourselves with, it's the raping of our natural resources and man made material such as plastic that's going to make Earth one big landfill garbage dump....
pgagandeep: Global warming is maesure issue at prasent time.
I don't beleive in global warming myself,i see lots of weather pattern changes that have never happened before, so so has everyone else in this world, i doubt there's anything anyone could do to change it,Al Gore, let him have the spot light, i just wish i had his money, and popularity over something so stupid

in my country we say:show me your teacher and i tell you who you are. only the americans the canadians the chinese and the australians (now they can see the global warming there)they dont WANT to believe in that fenomeno. the reason? economical. the answer for your stupid question is because in this age you speak(covered with ice)the earth had to mutch CO2(vulcans reason)so the hot of the sun cant came in earth
Well, let's see what I can rememebr so far........... In 1985 I was in Rome and the Colliseum was badly damaged by acid rain from pollutants. I've traveled scuba dived numerous places around the world and the reefs ( thousands of years old )are suddenly dieing and bleached due to rising ocean temps. The weather pattern where I live has completely changed in the 33 years I have lived in the mountains ......no more summer rain or thunder storms, very weak snow storms and low snow pack. We have no-burn days now becuase inversions trap everyone's smog and fireplace smoke. Smog in the valleys near the big cities off the mountian are obviously worsening very rapidly to the point where your eyes and lungs burn just driving though to get to your destination. The list goes on, and none of these dramatic changes are imagined.....
How long is it gonna take, and what is it gonna take - before people get it ??
Keeping with the topic question.......YES we can gradually change to be more considerate of the environment. Personally, I try to save my driving for trips where I can do multiple things on one drive into town. I've changed alot of my interior light bulbs to energy saving type. I've reset my electronic thermostat to lower temps and not heat the house when I'm gone during the day. I keep my vehicles tuned and serviced. I find things to do to get exercise outdoors in my free time rather than joy ride for sightseeing. I make a conscious effort to only buy energy efficient appliances etc. I go way beyond code with insulation and energy efficiency when I build new homes. But, there is always much more one can do .......
pgagandeep: Is global warming possible to control?
Sure it's easy. Turn off the TV, stop reading newspapers and magazines, etc. And global warming will never bother you again. At least not until the Carbon tax bill arrives.
The ozone already has a whole. Lets try to keep it from getting any bigger. Every one take a few extra minutes to do their part in ecology. Solar heating and recycling. No aresol etc. Environmental science is very interesting. There are jobs out there if someone is looking to educate themselves in this green economy. Control is not the right word. Healing would be my thought. Lets heal by everyone doing their part.

I'm like you. I've never owned a big gas pig, I use a clothes line instead of an electric dryer, I only buy paper products made from 100% recycled paper, I burn waste oil from my vehicles in my diesel powered truck, (this is my work truck, 26,000 gross lbs which gets 12 MPG) I compost yard waste and everything my chickens wont eat for my garden. etc etc. If everybody did things the way we do, this thread wouldn't exist. Congratulations to us!

Apples and oranges. The hole in the ozone layer, if it has anything to do with man's activity at all, which isn't certzin by any means, is due to CFCs such as freon (and tou can bet that Al Gore has air conditioning in all his houses, cars, jets, etc) CO2, the trace gas being blamed (unjustly) for global warming doesn't affect the ozone layer at all.
CFCs are slowly being phased out of use and the climate folks don't even seem concerned about them anyway, it's only the organic zctivity like breathing that they want to reduce.
well, they also want to limit the poor nations' ability to industrialize. The western powers, no longer able to dominate the world economically, are now counting more and more on military power and global control schemes such as the global warming hoax in order to stay on top. They can no longer compete, so they look for excuses and means to dominate.
USThumper: I look outside, and it seems to me it's under control. Maybe a little too well under control.
The only thing politicians want to control with this myth is our money. well, they also want to limit the poor nations' ability to industrialize.
