Conrad73: That's what I was wondering. Got some impressive ones in the "New World"as well.
they certainly have, I actually prefer them slightly more than the more famous egyptian ones.
But all these wonders of the ancient world & new world are awe inspiring & maybe we arent meant to fully understand their signifigance, importance & why they were built

The Egyptian ones might have some astronomical significance. And it seems that generally those ancient Monument had to do with Astronomy. Wonder how long it would take to build one of those things these days.

I feel the same way that they may have had some astronomical significance.
as far as building them now , lets see the engineers will have to look at the site, then we have tests, site plans, drawings done, submitted to local authorities for planning approval.
Now enter the conservation & historical groups because the site is bound to have an old garden seat that Bob Smith ( whoever he was) sat in every saturday & ate an apple.
so far we have taken 5 years & nothings been done yet.

I cannot believe some people still think it was the Martians that built the pyramids. We know better now it was the people from one of the Jupiter moons know as Jupiteriens.
