I started rocking back in the late sixties,...and have been rockin' ever since. But when it comes to Greatest Ever,...ain't nobody outlasted this geriatric group,....and damn,...they are still going! I have seen the other big groups of the 70's live and they were awesome,..but damn it, there is still nothing quite like a Stones concert,...IMHO

I posted my favorite last Feb. 2010. My top 5 are The Who, Yes, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Traffic. Elton John had some great songs. Tumbleweed Connection is a great album.

I really couldn't put down a Top 5,...there were and are just too many great bands and artists out there. And a lot of what I listen to depends on my mood,....I own WAY too much music,...CD's, cassettes, vinyl,..lord,...lots of vinyl. I really don't think I have enough life left to listen to it all! LOL! Nice to meet you!

Haven't heard the name Skyhooks dropped in quite awhile. I remember them from long ago,...I think I first heard them when I met up with some Kiwis who were visiting Canada,....long live the Commonwealth!
Nice to meet you also. I picked my username from my 2 favorite bands. I also have alot of vinyl, cassetes, cds. I like alot of other bands. I didn't list Erid Dlapton all his groups, Jeff Beck, Bowie and mowtown music.

Early "rock and roll" bands of 50's and early-mid 60's had a much softer sound. I personally never found the Beatles very rock at all but i thought they should be included for those who liked that era.
Elton John.... and also ABBA were mentioned. Each to their own.
