JSuburbia: Kinda reminds me of the one thread about what to do when in doubt...Least someone can do when not sure if someone is being mean or cheeky is to ask.
Imagine how many conflicts around the world could be avoided if the parties involved just communicated with one another to clarify their intentions
Yes the trouble is that communication is a two way street. Unfortunately someone has to listen!!! That's where the problems start...
That being said, if one party doesn't open the lines of communication, that shouldn't prevent someone from trying to work things out themselves to a point

You'd think they'd ask... but I guess for some it's more fun to explode immediately, rather than to inquire about someone's intentions.
For the record: I avoid being mean by not posting when in a bad mood, so if you're in doubt: the Muse is cheeky!

Usually if someone posts when they are in a bad mood, something is said that will be later regretted, so to not post when you are in a bad mood is definitely a good policy to have.
Personally, I'm the same way in a sense, but I do have my moments when I try to be nice even when I'm not in the mood to do so and sometimes what I say will come out in the wrong tone, so I do try to avoid as much as I can.
Figure we're all here for fun, and that's what we should try to have :)

Sometimes it can cheer me up to write a positive, optimistic reply to someone, who's posted about something that's seriously troubling them...

So.....wit today, passion tomorrow and always yoghurt!
JSuburbia: Kinda goes into appropriateness really. There's a time to be serious, a time to be cheeky...Basically charecteristics have a time & place , just a matter of being able to know what the moment calls for and also with it being something that comes natural and not something you try to be
Fallingman: For each one of us there are certain traits in others that appeal to us. Which of these (stereotypes I admit) does it for you? If you prefer other characteristics write them in the thread and tick the "None" box.
for myself french style in a man I'll take a good pair of....ummmmmmmmm...legs (that's it ) under a warm tartan
